Willis – Take You High

Willis, building on her debut album ‘Come Get Some’ as well as some early sell out EP’s, has a voice that brings images of vocalists like Linda Lewis. But rather than the god fearing gospel that was Linda’s fare, Willis has gone for a mellow funk groove with a sassy edge. ‘Take You High’ is great song made special by the swooping and emotive vocals. The album has already been mentioned in favourable sentences regarding Brit awards and The Face, Time Out and Uncut have sung her praises.
