Vinyl Podcast (Blogcast Review)

This one is short and sweet. Basically, yer man picks an old vinyl record from his collection and tells you about it, plays it and signs off. There are sometimes the odd hiss and crackle that old vinyl picks up along the way but that rarely detracts from the quality of the songs. The music played covers folk, funk, rock n roll and more besides.

The descriptions are detailed and interesting slices of musical history that put the song into perspective very effectively.

The casts are in very good quality and are MP3 format at 128kbps, the episodes coming in at around 7MB; casts are fairly regularly posted.
