The Veils – The Wild Son

Building up to the release of their debut album (‘The Runaway Found’, due on the 16 February) The Veils have chosen ‘The Wild Son’ as their first single. This is the dark side of folk pop, it is atmospheric, it builds up and up and up until the high point you might have been expecting disappears. You’d think Finn Andrews would be happier after a successful year and support slots with The Cooper Temple Clause, The Raveonettes, British Sea Power and the like. But no, he is still a miserable bugger.

Saying that, he does it so well. So, why change now.
