The Unisex return with, after a busy year supporting The Libertines and Snow Patrol on tour, a new double A side to delight us all. Their style is at the jangly indie end of psychedelic rock, which never goes out of fashion, and they do it well. ‘Pigs & Their Farms’ whirls and spins about the core of a infectious chorus and the Archive remix takes it up another, delightfully trippy, notch. The second A side, ‘Mushroom and Broccoli’, is a top-flight pop song – the sure sign of which is that you can sing along and feel the smile creep unstoppably across your face. The Unisex have something for everyone.
