The Strokes – 12:51 (Archive Review)

The lads from New York are back again and ahead of the release of their new album (‘Room On Fire’, released 20 October) with ’12:51′. The sound will be very familiar to anyone who has heard their previous work, mixing chugging guitars, handclaps and vintage organs into a rumbling track that recalls the best of seventies rock treated with a great deal of respect. As such it probably won’t win over any new fans but is just what their legions of admirers were praying for.
