The Others – Stan Bowles (CD Review)

So, put fairly simply, this song is about 70’s QPR player Stan Bowles, estranged Libertine Pete Doherty and having fun. Short and sweet. More than anything, the lyrics seem to be a stream of consciousness, never repeating themselves.

The randomness fits in nicely with the band’s recent gigging antics, setting up guerrilla-style on tube trains, at Radio 1, in park and flats around London and at Glastonbury, with fans notified by text messages and through The Others’ website.

Their unorthodox methods have already put them into rock and roll legend, now is the time for the music to take them further.
