Following in the footsteps of the discopunk scene of New York are The Infadels, who would fit neatly into the scene if only they didn’t come from Hackney. The three-piece of Bnann on vocals, matt Gooderson on guitar and Alex Bruford on drums create a squelchy synthed and angularly guitared fusion of eighties pop, acid dance and punk edge. As with bands like Radio 4, !!! and The Faint there is tension and energy combined into a disco shell that is hypnotic. If that sounds like your cup of tea then you’ll be glad to know that The Infadels are touring soon, keep your eyes peeled for dates.
