The Boxer Rebellion – Code Red (CD Review)

Having formed an alliance with Mercury Records subsidiary, Vertigo, Poptones hope that this single will bring about the success that was promised but not forthcoming with The Boxer Rebellion’s first two singles, Watermelon and In Pursuit.

Code Red is a very atmospheric track with a bigger and better sound than previous recordings. Nathan Brown’s vocals soar oer wailing guitars reminiscent of U2. This could be the making of The Boxer Rebellion but there’s plenty of time for more work before the release of their debut album in February 2005.
