The Blood Brothers new single ‘Set Fire To The Face On Fire’

‘Set Fire To The Face On Fire’ released 15 January 2007 via Wichita Recordings.

The Blood Brothers will precede their most diverse and musical record to date: ‘Young Machetes’, with the single ‘Set Fire To The Face On Fire’ on 15th January 2007. Released through their new label Wichita Recordings (Bloc Party, The Bronx, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Saul Williams etc), the single will be available on 7″ and download. The 7″ artwork was designed by Julian of The Liars and the B-side is a remix of ‘Lazer Life’ by Nick Zinner of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.

The Seattle based five piece converged on their local Robert Lang Studios to record this, album. Once again they teamed up with John Goodmanson, who produced their second album Crimes (as well as engineering & mixing Young Machetes) and, in addition, they enlisted Guy Picciotto (famed Fugazi member and Rites of Spring founder). Together the duo inspired a renewed energy and confidence in the band. “John and Guy helped us believe in our first instincts,” says Morgan.

Following a rapturously received set earlier this year at the All Tomorrows Parties Weekend, to which they were invited by friends and fans, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, the Bloods are set to grace our shores again in early 2007 to play a full UK tour which will be sponsored by the good people at ( Support on all dates comes from Help She Can’t Swim.
