This new version of ‘Holidays Are Nice’, the original of which can be found on Sophia’s album ‘People Are Like Seasons’, is a fresh and lilting on the surface with turbulence not far below. As with all of ‘People Are Like Seasons’ this song is lovingly crafted and has an uncommon depth for a pop song.

Robin Proper-Sheppard (as Sophia is also known) has turned the sparse original into an excellent pop song that has a catchy but low-key chorus. Don’t let the simple title put you off, this is a great track.
