Roni Size – Return To V (CD Review)

The long awaited full length from one of Bristol’s premiere jungle stars does anything but disappoint. The tunes are charged from the start and, as you would expect, those energy levels never diminish. The album boasts a huge list of contributors that provide subtle changes in tone without detracting from the main drive of the album. The jazz/soul influences that made his name are still strong (especially in ‘No More’ with Beverley Knight and Dynamite) and are sometimes augmented by hip-hop (as in ‘Problems’ featuring Blaze).

It was definitely worth the wait.
