My Luminaries – ‘Jumping The Great White’

‘Jumping The Great White’ is the début single from an act that totally blew away the audience at an unsigned bands night I was at earlier this year. When I heard they had been signed and that a single is on its way I was very pleased indeed. My Luminaries put on a great show and thankfully have managed to capture a lot of that energy in their début single. The 7″ vinyl only release of ‘Jumping The Great White’ has 3 minutes of rapid fire guitars and confident vocals atop a persistent beat and throbbing bass. A perfect little dancefloor indie track if there ever was one.

The B-side, ‘Petrol Station Union Jacks’, is a polished slow burner that pulls you in and keeps you there with delicious hooks. It lacks the immediacy of the A-side but is guaranteed to worm its way into your head.

There are a couple of dates remaining in the current tour, prepare to be swept along with the brilliant performance at the following venues.
