Motion City Soundtrack’s new single, another cut form ‘I Am The Movie’, has been well received so far… It has received radio plays all over the place and the album is doing well. They have been playing on the Warped Tour touring the US with All-American Rejects this year and are on tour with Rufio. With all this build up you’d be expecting a mighty single. It turns out that ‘mighty’ is overplaying it a touch and ‘The Future Freaks Me Out’ is an easily forgettable slice of guitar pop. This track doesn’t distinguish itself from the legion of near identical songs performed by nasally vocalled pretend punks.
But I appear to be in the minority on this from their success thus far…
