Morrissey – You Have Killed Me (CD Review)

As a prelude to the new (and very good) album from ol’ grumpychops we have the typically cheery ‘You Have Killed Me’. It is undeniably Morrissey, as soon as the vocals start his inimitable stretched and curiously emoted voice is on fine form. The theatrical strings and the classic indie guitars add the appropriate air of melancholy.

If there is anyone out there who hasn’t heard Mozzer and fallen on one side of the love/hate fence already I would be surprised. This will appeal to the fans, as ever, and further dissuade the haters (who needs ’em).
