Maximo Park – Going Missing (CD Review)

Maximo Park are back with another choice cut from their debut album ‘A Certain Trigger’. In ‘Going Missing’ we get an energised torch song that hooks the listener in with its simplicity and builds in dramatic new wave fashion. It has parts to rock out to, sing along with and catch your breath in, a floor filling indie disco textbook job in fact. ‘Going Missing’ is backed by a new track, already a live favourite, called ‘A19’. The more rugged guitars lend this number a more seventies pop punk feel with a dash of funk panache.
