Leaves – Catch

Leaves are latest act to reach escape velocity from Iceland and are unusual in not being very unusual. Bjork is a child like ultra-loon, Sigur Ros are mad for soundscapes but Leaves are, well, normal.

This is clearly a disturbing trend as Icelandic sonic lunacy was becoming something to be exepcted and looked forward to.

They sound like a hundred other indie groups and a bit too much like Simple Minds on the Evening Session track Tomorrow Never Knows. They are not offensive to the ears, but neither do the hold your attention.

Shame. Label : B-UNIQUE Records
