InMe – Faster The Chase

Last time I wrote a review of InMe a few people took exception to my saying that they should never have been allowed out of the Essex pub circuit. I didn’t think this was such an incredible thing to be saying, having heard their debut album Overgrown Eden.

With Faster The Chase, InMe have undoubtedly matured. Unfortunately for us, maturing seems to mean that they’ve stopped trying to be Silverchair and gone for a more American hard rock sound instead (aided by producer Josh Abrahams, who has also worked with Linkin Park, Courtney Love, Korn and Limp Bizkit) and that Dave McPherson’s voice has become more annoying than ever.

The band’s new album is due for release in September.
