Iain Archer, solo artist and former member of both Reindeer Section and Snow Patrol, strikes out alone once more with ‘Boy Boy Boy’, a prelude to his album ‘Flood The Tanks’ (due in May).
The title track is a semi-acoustic rock number that has a clear passion and drive. The softly sung vocals and the upbeat tempo create a light and relaxing feel that is a familiar feature of the Irish/Scottish scenesters. The two additional tracks provided on this release are the touchingly sad and broken voiced ‘Holywood Seapark’ as well as the atmospheric ‘Everything I’ve Got’. All of these tracks have an easy beauty that makes them something to treasure.
