HAL – What A Lovely Dance (CD Review)

With their hit single, a debut album on the horizon and after support slots with Granddaddy and Delays, HAL have been steadily building themselves up for a while now. The release of ‘What A Lovely Dance’ will have to satisfy their fans for now. The Irish quintet that is HAL have the air of a lounge act about them, they are not classy enough for swing, not soulful enough for soul and don’t’ sound earnest enough for folk. For fans of winsome ditties or waltzing ballads, these are your guys.
