The first time I listened to this 8 track mini-album I was unimpressed, though repeat listens have brought more enjoyment. I think my disappointment stemmed mainly from the fact that Drive Like You Stole It aren’t as good as their name. A female-fronted trio are similar in sound to Die So Fluid and influenced by bands like The Foo Fighters, DLYSI dart between understated ambience and full-on hard rock. Mel Young’s vocals soar over the music, which her guitar work provides the perfect base for. This is actually a very good CD, worthy of attention from fans of anyone from Hole to Incubus. (AM)
