Colour Of Fire – Pearl Necklace

Colour of Fire are but two singles, a few radio sessions (Radio 1, XFM) and a support slot with Placebo into their career. The York based quartet have been busy. ‘Pearl Necklace’ is their bid for the big time; they are attracting comparisons with At The Drive In, Queens Of The Stone Age and The Vines amongst others.

This album shows that the boys definitely like their rock. Every track is full to the brim with chugging guitars, screams, and powerchords. There are brief spells of funk-metal, grunge and classic rock too. All of this is wrapped into a coherent whole that reeks of angst and demands to be heard loud.
