Alabama 3 – Hello… I’m Johnny Cash (CD Review)

Alabama 3 are the only Country and Western and Dance act that I know of. The fact that they hail from Brixton fails to make the combination any more unusual, it’s a genius concept. With their latest single ‘Hello… I’m Johnny Cash’ they pay a lovingly humorous tribute to one of the greats of music and against all the odds it works. It works wonderfully well. The slide guitar, railroad beats and gravely delivery combine to make a song that will get under your skin and have you humming it for months.
