The UK’s most successful new singer-songwriter, Newton Faulkner, releases his brand new single ‘I Need Something’ on March 31st through Ugly Truth Records. ‘I Need Something’ is a wistful, passionate and throaty vocal twisted around a beautifully soulful melody captivatingly teased out of his acoustic guitar.
The release of ‘I Need Something’ follows the spectacular success of Newton’s Number One & Double Platinum debut album, ‘Hand Built By Robots’, which has so far spent two weeks at Number One on the UK album chart, as well as being a permanent fixture in the iTunes Top Ten since release (including six weeks at No1). Newton has just been nominated in the Best Male category of the 2008 Brit Awards.
Newton has also started spreading the word globally with his first North American and European live dates – a highlight being an especially exciting performance that took place in a hot air balloon high over the Swiss Alps for a radio broadcast.
