The Noisettes new single “Scratch Your Name” delayed, UK Tour Announced

Scratch Your Name The Noisettes release a new single, Scratch Your Name on the 7th May 2007, through Vertigo.

The single will be available on the following formats: 2 x 1-sided limited edition etched 7″s, one red and one black, a maxi CD single featuring Lamacq session versions of Scratch Your Name and Sister Rosetta and a digital download featuring Baseball Furries remix of the single.

Scratch Your Name is the follow up to the Noisettes debut album What’s The Time Mr Wolf which was released earlier this year to critical acclaim. It was described by Mojo as “an album fuelled by eye popping energy and visceral power” and NME “Noisettes are the new breed of cool kids in town; a sexy soulful racket that’s a whole lot of fun.”

The Noisettes are about to embark on 2 huge US tours supporting both TV on the Radio and Bloc Party and will begin their own headline UK tour in May and have been added to the Glastonbury bill where they will play a staggering 3 slots over the weekend with more festival appearances to be announced shortly. The band are also set to play alongside Rufus Wainwright and Nick Cave’s Grinderman at the Mojo Honours list on 9th May. The band were also chosen for the iconic C4 new music idents alongside Horrors, Jack Penate, Bat For Lashes, Patrick Wolf and Unkle Jam.
