Snow Patrol, Muse, Kasabian and Keane have been announced as the headlining acts at this year’s Isle Of Wight festival, while the likes of Amy Winehouse, James Morrison, The Fratellis, Wolfmother, Paolo Nutini, The Feeling and Ash are also set to appear. This year’s event will take place on 8, 9 and 10 June, at the Newport’s Seaclose Park. Festival promoters Solo say: ‘Bands love coming to the island and feeling the tradition. Tennyson was right about it’s magical quality.’
Muse, meanwhile, say: ‘The past year has been truly amazing for us and performing live is what we’re all about. Getting the opportunity to do that at the Isle of Wight Festival is an honour. Some of our biggest heroes played the festival back in the 70’s. It’s steeped in history and we cant wait to be a part of that.’
Tickets go on sale on Wednesday at 9am from the ‘Virgin Radio Directory’ (whatever that is), then on general sale from Thursday at 9am.
