Green Man Festival adds Plant and Newsom as headliners

Joanna Newsom and Robert Plant have been confirmed as two of the headline acts for the 2007 Green Man Festival. Joanna will headline Friday 17 August and Robert Plant will headline on Saturday 18 August.

The Green Man Festival returns for its 5th year in 2007, and tickets for the event are already on sale.
Ticket prices will be the same as last year (£98 adult, free to under 12s).

The venue will also be the same, the gloriously green Glanusk Park in the Brecon Beacons, Wales.
The campsite will open on 16th August, with the festival running from Friday 17th to Sunday 19th August.

There will be music late on into the night with more campfire ceilidhs and an increased capacity as the site expands into the parkland areas, with a larger second stage and DJ tent.

artists and performers:

Joanna Newsom:
This will be her third Green Man performance, having played in both 2004 and 2005, and her headline appearance at the 2007 event is a UK Summer Festival exclusive. Joanna recently played a handful of UK dates, where she was awarded many 5 star reviews for her stunning shows.

Robert Plant:
Led Zeppelin are described by the BBC as one of the most influential bands of the twentieth century and Roberts affinity with Wales is well-known. Having collaborated with Sandy Denny on the “Battle of Evermore”, the folk roots of Robert’s music has always been in evidence .

Adult weekend tickets cost £98 including on-site camping and parking and entry is free for Under 12s. There will be an additional cost for those wishing to bring a live-in vehicle.
