Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design is a hotbed of creativity. It brings the most exciting new artistic talent to the very heart of London and is internationally recognised for pushing back the boundaries in Fashion, Art, Performance, and Design.
The historic site on Charing Cross Road is home to Fine Art and Fashion and originally staged pivotal early gigs by Sex Pistols, Adam Ant, Buzzcocks, Kilburn and the High Roads…
Domino Records @ Central Saint Martins will feature very special performances by CLINIC, ARCHIE BRONSON OUTFIT & THESE NEW PURITANS.
As individual as Suicide or The Monks and as self-sufficient as The Strokes, its fair to say Clinic sound like no other band. They describe a twilit place: the streets surrounding John Carpenters Precinct 13, the disco on the inhabited side of the moon. Its a sinisterly sexy locale, with a dark sense of humour, and one of the few chances youll have to see them perform live.
Archie Bronson Outfit are one of the most unique and brilliantly out of step British bands in years. Juggling their art school education with the grand task of refining their rock and roll vision, ABO have arrived at their own markedly British rock cocktail – a taut, lean sound, as subtle as it is powerful.
These New Puritans inhabit the same psycho-geographical territory as early Sonic Youth or Einsturzende Neubauten; this is the music of the dark corners. They combine a violent punk-rock intensity and immediacy with experimental, almost IDM leanings.
And providing musical diversions will be Dominos Laurence Bell and Jon Savage!
The night is set to be monumental, so please come join us!
