New single out on Frog Records Pink Squares by I Was A Cub Scout
Fresh out of Nottingham, I Was A Cub Scout are two 17-year old hardcore souls – William Bowerman and Todd Marriott – who have spent the last 6 months putting on their own gigs at club nights and house parties up and down the country. I Was A Cub Scout make pummelling punk rock pop disco. it’s part Minus The Bear, part “digital ash”-era Oberst, but most importantly they are a fresh take on star gazing, dreamy, indie electronica.
“superb drum-orientated disco indie” rock sound
“pink squares is one of my top 10 singles of 2006” Steve Lamacq, radio 1
