Editors second album delayed

Editors have told the NME that the belated success of debut album ‘The Back Room’ means that plans to start work on a follow up have been delayed. Despite it being nearly a year since the album was released the band are still busy promoting it – the long player having enjoyed most success since the release of ‘Munich’ at the start of this year. With festival dates galore coming up, it might be a while until they get back into the studio
proper.

Guitarist Chris Urbanowicz told NME: “We’re getting there, we’ve got the two new songs, we’re playing live at the moment and other bits and bobs. [But] we had to pretty much start again on this album when ‘Munich’ went crazy.”
