The Perishers – Let There Be Morning (CD Review)

The Perishers follow up the release of their debut single (‘Trouble Sleeping’) with the full length ‘Let Their Be Morning’. Their style is a sedate and dreary folk rock with little variation in terms of tone. The vocals are crying out for sympathy and eager to share the pains and troubles they portray. Sadly the emotion fails to take root and the album falls rather flat as a result.

This is bad dinner party music, making vaguely pleasant noises that will not in any way draw attention to themselves and spoil your conversation.

The Perishers are set to make a number of live appearances at festivals this summer after the success of their support slot on tour with Mew.
