U2 and Arcade Fire team up to cover Joy Division classic

U2 and Arcade Fire played a song together on Monday in Montreal. Arcade Fire were the Irish band’s support at their two gigs in the city, and there’s a fair amount of mutual admiration going on – U2 have been performing ‘Wake Up’ during the Vertigo tour, whilst Arcade Fire walked on stage on Saturday to the strains of ‘Where The Streets Have No Name’. On Monday, the love affair ended in a union, no doubt blissful, in which they all teamed up to perform classic Joy Division track ‘Love Will Tear Us Apart’.
