Work starts on new Cure album

Robert Smith has posted a message on his band’s website, saying that The Cure will be heading into the studio in January to begin work on a new album. “We will now not be in the studio ‘for real’ until January 2006 but we are still on course for a summer release as it’s all in the preparation!” he wrote, adding that he has also been working on a live DVD as well as
“writing some film music”.

Meanwhile, the band are expected to reissue expanded versions of albums ‘The Top’, ‘The Head On The Door’ and ‘Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me’.
