Frank Black begins work on new solo album

Pixie Frank Black has been back in the studio to further collaborate with the musicians who helped him with his last solo effort, ‘Honeycomb’. The
sessions, which took place in Nashville last month, have resulted in the recording of 25 new songs, most of them written by Black himself. No release date has been set for the new collection, but it’s expected to be out sometime in 2006. Producer Jon Tiven said “Until we decide how many and what
tracks will make it onto the new album we won’t know for sure what the musical direction will be. But it’s going to be great.”
