Delia Gonzalez & Gavin Russom – The Days of Mars (CD Review)

‘The Days of Mars’ is like a trance track stretched way beyond normal limits. There a great sonic vistas to explore in between solid, if intense, trance and abnormal electronica that is as thought provoking as it is mesmeric. Gonzalez and Russom are both seemingly at home in the lighter end of experimentalism. They never venture too from a well trodden path but manage to just push the boundless enough to make you think.

The four extended pieces that make up this album are best savoured when you are of a mind to sit and let music envelope you. Imagine Air without the mong or M83 without the clutter and you are part way to imagining this sound.
