Blues Explosion live in All Tomorrow’s Parties Don’t Look Back

The brilliant Blues Explosion are to take part in the All Tomorrow’s Parties Don’t Look Back season, and will perform the whole of 1994 release ‘Orange’ at Koko in Camden on 21 Sep. The band have never before performed the whole album at one time, possibly due to some of the string arrangements that
appeared on the long player. Whether or not Blues Explosion will arrive toting a string section to perform them is open to question. Frontman Jon Spencer says: “I don’t know what will happen. We’ve still got the charts for the strings! We’ll see if we’re gonna make it true to the album, maybe after we get through Orange we’ll do the Experimental Remixes. We’d have to go deep and call a very heavy, super-secret DJ. But this is a special presentation and we’re very proud to be doing it. I am sure there are going to be some surprises.”

Blues Explosion will also play three other live dates this month, as
