The Aeroplanes – Don’t Stop Me (CD Review)

‘Don’t Stop Me’ is the debut EP from Liverpool’s The Aeroplanes. The title track is a tangle of thumping drums, jangly guitars and cries from Chris and Paul that will have your limbs moving of their own accord and a chorus that will spin about your head for ages. By contrast the more melancholy ‘Somedays’ shows the bands gentler, sensitive side without becoming too languid and introspective. Finally, ‘Black Hole’ takes the mood down another notch while maintaining a jaunty feel.

The Aeroplanes are playing the Magnet in Liverpool on Friday 9th September.
