Following on from the acclaimed In The Garden and Porn Star singles, Girls Fighting is sure to whip up demand for the forthcoming debut album even more.
The premise of the title track is simple enough: “girls fighting, I really like it.” Repeat this over a dirty 70’s rock riff and you’re there. Following it, Pink Pink Skin and Butterfly Girls show a very different side to the band. Acoustic, fragile and emotional it’s hard not to initially wonder if they’re joking (they normally write songs about porn and girl fights remember). I don’t think they are but it doesn’t really matter, the songs are lovely and that’s all you need to know.
