Alter Ego’s ‘Rocker’ gets UK release on Skint

This summer’s biggest dancefloor record has been picked up by Skint Records. Alter Ego’s ‘Rocker’ first appeared at the beginning of the year in very limited quantities and has rapidly become one of the year’s underground anthems.

One of the big records to emerge out of this year’s Sonar Festival and Glastonbury, where it was played everywhere. 2manyDJs, Jeff Mills, Audio Bullys, Weatherall, Black Strobe, and Tiga have been on the record all year. A diverse gang if ever there was one but it goes to show the broad appeal of this record. Now taking Ibiza by storm, it is time to bring on the synths!!

Damian Harris of Skint Records comments: “We’re very excited to have signed Rocker, i first heard Ivan Smagghe play it at the beginning of the year and have been chasing it ever since. The track seems to be just building momentum like a runaway train. I keep getting those lunchtime texts from people in Ibiza saying how the tracks taking the roof off.. which is a bit annoying when your queueing at the Post Office.. but nice to hear none the less.”
