Chicks On Speed Confirmed as support on Red Hot Chili Peppers UK tour

CHICKS ON SPEED have been confirmed as the opening act on the forthcoming sold out UK tour by RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS, whose singer Anthony Kiedis has been photographed many times wearing one of the CHICKS ON SPEED’s customised ‘Fake’ t-shirts and whose love of the band has never been a secret, despite their defiant sloganeering that they “don’t play guitars”.

CHICKS ON SPEED released their last album 99 CENTS for Chicks On Speed Records through LABELS in Europe. The singles We Don’t Play Guitars and their brilliant cover of Tom Tom Club’s Wordy Rappinghood brought them to a whole new audience. They have recently completed work on a new album, details of which will be announced at some point in the near future, as well as promoting and publishing their first book ‘CHICKS ON SPEED: IT’S A PROJECT’ They also recently set up an exhibition at Deitch Projects in New York and the Palais De Tokyo in Paris.
