Armitage Shanks release Urinal Heap

Armitage Shanks (Dick Scum – Vocal / Git, Vic Flange Drums, Wolf – Drums
[on half the album, he’s in the Buff Medways] Dave Dirtbox Bass, Rod Vomit
Guitar) the band named after a fine bit of porcelain formed in Snodland,
Kent in early 1991, good mates of Billy Childish they released their first
single ‘Do You Want Some Fuckin’ Shirts Off Or What?’ (with Childish on
Vocals) in early 1993, they became the support band at Thee Headcoats London
shows at the now legendary Wild Western Room in Archway (mainly because Dick
drove Thee Headcoats van). The good news is that now the Shanks are back!
Who would have thought there would be a brand new Shanks album in 2004?? But
here it is – their first album for 7 years – which as ever was recorded in
the now famous Toe Rag Studios in East London. Produced and recorded by Liam
Watson and released on May 24th 2004 it’s called… wait for it… ‘Urinal
Heap’ (DAMGOOD 224) and it’s their best yet!

See them live!
