Age Of Jets Gig and Album News

The ever wonderful Damaged Goods label brings you the debut album from AGE
OF JETS the mysterious group from Hull, UK. Five members, that make a
sound far removed from anything you’ll currently hear, but have been
compared favourably to Clinic, The Human League (circa 1979) and Blur not to
mention elements of early 80’s psychedelic pop culture from such heroics as
Spark and top Japanese band Polysics. A mix of pop, electro beeps, samples
and garage rock and produced by Luke Barwell from Gentle Electric band
‘Bitmap’ AGE OF JETS release their debut album ‘Go Go Gadget Pop’ on 14th
June 2004. Already having had notable supports with Saloon, Dressy Bessy and
Hamell on Trial AGE OF JETS have been together about 6 months, the band have
already had several moments of joy including airplay and live performances
on BBC local radio to national airplay on BBC’s 6 Music with world famous DJ
Steve Lamacq, as well as appearing on the ‘Your New Favourite Band’ section
of the show and having a feature on BBC’s One Music website.
