Dogs Die In Hot Cars – Godhopping

Dogs Die In Hot Cars, in ‘Godhopping’, sound like Robert Smith singing to the theme from a Seventies cop show played by an eighties pop ska act. It is an odd mix, but not without it’s charm. It has the pop hooks, which are reminiscent of Barenaked Ladies; all of this is clearly enough for Radio One and XFM, who have playlisted them and had them to record some sessions. The style continues for ‘Modern Woman’ but is broken into a curious monastic folk for the closing track ‘Eat Me Don’t Eat Me’.
