5,6,7,8’s Album

With six albums, 15 singles, and appearances on over two dozen compilations
world-wide, the 5,6,7,8’s (as featured in the film, KILL BILL) unleash their
Early Days Singles, (via Sweet Nothing) on April 5th which features a
whopping 27 tracks of songs from their singles of, er, early days. The
world is FINALLY ready for Yoshiko “Ronnie” guitar, Yama bass and
Sachiko drums collectively known as the all girl 5,6,7,8’s. Their hot n
bothered, surfin’ stompin’ n hollerin’ garage punk madness grabbed the
attention of none other than the film supremo Quentin Tarantino.
Whilst on a business trip to Japan, Tarantino popped into a shop for a quick
spree and happened to hear the musical genius that is the legendary all-girl
combo the 5,6,7,8’s. Falling in love with the band immeadiately he begs the
shop attendant for her copy of the band’s CD; all of which culminated in the
band bringing their glamourama to the film with cameo performance in his
2003 blockbuster KILL BILL Vol 1. The 5,6,7,8’s ‘track Woo Hoo’ as featured
on this compilation is also included on the KILL BILL soundtrack album
(Maverick).
Tarantino’s love affair with the threesome doesn’t end there the band will
also be featuring in the follow-up, ‘KILL BILL Vol.2′
