Ilya – Bellissimo

‘Bellissimo’ is the return of the luxuriant sounds of Bristol’s Ilya. Vocalist Joanna Swan once again lets her rich and vibrant voice melt over the late night Latin jazz cum dance backing supplied by producer Dan Brown. ‘Bellissimo’ has been taken from the album ‘They Died for Beauty’ (released on the 23rd February) which has already given us gorgeous tracks like ‘Quattra Neon’ and ‘Soleil Soleil’. The song, in all it’s incarnations, is tinged with loss and sadness but is far from depressing. Ilya make music like few others and they are a refreshing leap in quality compared to a lot of other fusions of this kind. If you like to chill out to atmospheric, uptempo music with wonderfully full vocals, this is for you.
