Amp Fiddler – Waltz Of A Ghetto Fly

On the back of his successful EP’s, ‘Basementality’ and ‘Love & War’, and his work with names like George Clinton and Jamiroquai, we are being treated to the debut album by Amp Fiddler. ‘Waltz of a Ghetto Fly’ is silky in its smoothness, has just enough beats to start a head bob and if your Marvin Gaye CD is out of reach then this will do just as well if your on a promise.

For me this is a mood album. It can quite happily play in the background while other things are going on. There are no tracks that stand out; which is not to say they are bad, just very even in pace and mood.
